New Baggage.

So, I always carry my camera in an old hardshell makeup case, which i absolutely loved...but...she's outgrown it!
Time to move on up in the world.
Bought this ol' bag at a thrift store...

She was empty on the inside. (sort of sad sounding...)

So. I jazzed her up with foam and happnin' fabric...

And now she's no longer lonely and my camera has a new home.

I am so in love with my family.  These girls mean more to me than they will ever know.
We got together for a Christmas Brunch and had ourselves a good'ole time!

Well.....my first Black Friday is under my belt and I had a blast! Ask me what I bought....NOTHIN'! But, I wouldn't trade my night.
Went to see Harry Potter, the hit Old Navy, Kohls and Target.
We had so many great laughs...and....I have to say that watching the people was the absolute funniest thing ever.  SO Serious!  I loved the people digging in the candles and saying "these are originally $10 but they are $3" and while I do realize that is a good deal...I don't think I would have stayed up all night to dig in candles....but...who am I kidding...I just stayed up all night to WATCH the people dig in candles.
At one point I did have a waffle maker for $10...but the line was 3 hours...and we decided that it wasn't sooo worth it.
Either way....all I have done today is sleep for a couple of hours...go watch the movie Tangled (it's good) and sleep some more.
Hope your Thanksgiving was the best.

Literal Engagement Photoshoot

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS PREPARING TO ASK THEIR LOVED ONE TO MARRY THEM?

I am currently looking for a couple to add to my portfolio for a "Literal Engagement Photoshoot"...what is that you ask??

Think of the moment when you got down on your knee and everything in your world changed...now think of that moment captured in time.

How does it work, you ask??
Whoever is doin' the askin' should contact me.  You tell your soon to be Fiance' that you have bought a "Love Bird" Photoshoot for the 2 of you as a gift for him/her.  We work out all the logistics beforehand...and about where you will ask.  The shoot starts like normal...we work our way to that special place (don't worry...we can photoshop those beads of sweat off your face)....and I invite you to do something spotaneous! VIOLA! It's all on film. (if you want the moment to be just between the 2 of you...I will gladly shoot from a distance.)  There are so many different ideas and lanes we could take to getting the finished product.

Since this is for the el'portfolio'lo I will do it at a DRASTICALLY DISCOUNTED PRICE! (and I mean drastic...like...buy me a coffee or something.....)

ONLY ONE COUPLE GETS THIS DEAL...When it's gone...it's gone....and the price falls under normal photoshoots.

It was just too nice of a day to not get out and take some photos, so Sam and I went on an adventure....and the camera came along too.  Normally Sam is a bit leary of me taking pics of him b/c I've tortured the poor kid to death, but today he was totally cool with it....that....and we pretended he was a rock star and this was his photoshoot (*mental note taken :} )

{ halloween }

OOoooooo I love this time of year!  Puts me in "a mood" :}
First things first...Halloween.
Every year I play in the APSU Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert (this would be my 12th year) and, no surprise here, it was amazing. SO much fun!! I'm pretty sure that this was one of my favorite years. The sense of humor of this group was fantastic...and I loved every moment of playing with these guys.
This year I was Mrs. Zombie USA...and minus a tooth. :}

So, next year...if you get a chance...come on out to Austin Peay for the Annual Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert!  It's a sell out show...and pretty rock-n-roll. <3
